#P0870 1/6 Daguerreotype, a beautiful young woman artistically posed

Great sixth plate (2.75" by 3.25") daguerreotype of a beautiful young woman artistically posed looking up and away from the camera. Gorgeous daguerreotype. Housed in a nice full composite case (part wood with thermoplastic front and back covers) and a leather spine repair. CONDITION: the plate is in excellent condition. Under magnification there is a teeny brown spot on her arm on the left and several small semicircle lines in the upper right background which really can’t be seen with the naked eye and were not picked up in the scan. Resealed with Filmoplast P90 by a previous owner. $1,750
