Company
Matrix Webdesign started out
in 1998 after my first HTML class. The company's page has
gone over three major reconstructions over the the past
three years. Matrix Webdesign originally started out as
"Thumps Webdesign". In the beginning my idea's of
web design were the more "eye candy" the better
the site. As time has gone on, and clients have come and go
I have realized that the quality and load time are the most
important factors.
My basic idea about webdesign
after three years experience is this: if it is not
necessary, don't use it. Useless "eye candy" can
both slow down the loading of the page and disappoint the
viewer. It's not a question of not being able to do some of
this stuff, it's my belief that you don't need it to have an
effective web site.
My feeling is that you're better off without the eye-candy,
while paying more attention to detail. Such as how your site
will look in different browsers, different resolutions,
things like that. And of course, the most important thing,
the actual content of your site.
Don't get me wrong, I like using a little spice here and
there, but speed and content are the key. And when you add
too much flash, you not only lose visitors, but you can even
ruin the reputation of your organization.
