Our Mission:We wish, simply, to keep our region as earth-friendly and healthy as possible by opposing the construction of the proposed plant. While we readily admit that the GOB pile in Robinson Township is an existing environmental hazard, we are extremely concerned about the plans to use this material in a burning facility. The emissions produced will also pose a serious health risk to the inhabitants of this area. We are not prepared to trade one evil for another. There are better ways. A recent article in the Washington Observer-Reporter discussed the reclamation of the Mather coal-refuse site, and showed how one local community was able to clean up a similar waste pile. Attend local township meetings and ask questions. Attend an event and introduce yourself to other members. Join our discussion group and share your own experiences, research, and ideas!
