In August 1976, Alex and Greta Harstad drove with their two young sons to their new cabin in the mountains for the weekend.
When they didn't return, relatives became concerned and went to the cabin to check on them. They were horrified to find them
huddled together in terror on the floor of a bedroom, viciously murdered.
Detectives began an immediate investigation, but there were few clues other than 35 spent cartridges and the recovery
of the victim's stolen station wagon. After two years of fruitless pursuit of suspects, the Detectives were reassigned and
the exasperating case turned cold.
Thirty years later, Sheriff's Detective Bill Edwards is told to take a fresh look at the horrific crime. Frustrated with
the lack of clues, he calls upon his case-solving psychic friend, Clarene Davis, for help. Using her unique skills, she is
able to guide him through a startling, zigzag trail of ghastly motives leading him to the deranged killer.
Suspenseful drama based on an actual murder case covered by the author in an award-winning newspaper series.
