Welcome to
Worcester Hills Recorder Society.....
A Chapter of the American Recorder Society
The Worcester Hills Recorder Society was founded in 1995 by
several Worcester area recorder teachers to promote the playing and
enjoyment of recorders.  WHRS encourages players of all levels
from beginner to advanced to join the society.

WHRS meets monthly, from 2:00-4:45 PM, at the Brooks Center for Music at Holy Cross College.
Intermediate and advanced groups are led by experienced coaches. New and potential members are
invited to arrive at 2:00 pm for group placement and/or any needed assistance.

Coaches are happy to share advice on purchasing instruments and finding private teachers. New
members need not invest in expensive professional instruments since good quality plastic
instruments offer excellent performance at a fraction of the cost of wooden instruments.

All Low Intermediate to Advanced level players are invited to attend our Annual Spring Workshop.

WHRS also offers performance opportunities for its Advanced and High Intermediate members at
local churches and area functions.
