Important warning #1:  DSL telephone lines (Direct Subscriber Lines), which are being marketed for high speed internet connection, are causing concern among security professionals.  We are currently not assured that all digital communicators will work properly if you convert an existing line to DSL or attempt to install a security system dialer onto a DSL line.  We recommend that until all issues are resolved, you have your security system dialer connected to what's known as "POTS," short for "Plain Old Telephone Service."  Click here for More.

Important warning #2:  System Smoke Detectors Must be Cleaned periodically or they will cause false fire alarms.  This is true for virtually every brand of photoelectronic smoke detector, regardless of the brand or the company that installed it.  The frequency of cleaning depends on the prevailing environmental conditions at your premises and will be affected by certain evolutions that may occur.  Click Here for some tips.

Important warning #3:  Telephone repairmen are notorious for disconnecting alarm jacks.  We recommend testing the communicator any time someone has just worked on your phone lines.  Separately, you should test the communicator regularly.

Important warning #4:  AT&T Smoke Detectors are repairable units.  If they malfunction, don't toss them out - they are expensive.

A skilled end user can clean them, or we can do it for you.  Click Here for Details.
