A little about me…
Confectionary Delights was started out of the necessity for an ideal castle cake for a friend's bridal shower. As much as I searched I just couldn't find the cake that would be the perfect centerpiece for the party. I had no clue what I was doing. However, with a little luck and patience, her cake turned out better than I expected, and a new passion for cake design was born.
From there I was asked by friends and family to create cakes for baby showers, birthdays, going away parties, you name it I was asked and happily gave it a shot. Each cake was a new adventure and a chance to teach myself something new.
Five days a week I am hard at work at my full time job. Needless to say, creating cakes is the perfect escape from my logical day in and day out and allows me to be creative and play.
For fun, besides making yummy creations, I spend my time with friends, husband, children, and four legged family members, manage my Karaoke addiction, enjoy live theater, and don't miss an episode of "Ace of Cakes". One of these days I WILL met Duff Goldman and his amazing team…oh yes, I will! :o)
Being self taught, I would love to take a class or two some day to improve my skills. *sigh* maybe someday!
