Blu Skiiz: So nice of you to do these chats!
Redhed9713: Yes, thank you
MaryAliceHurd: Yes, you are very gracious and patient with us. Thank you!
MICNPAM: Yes, this is a real pleasure!
NEA WOOD: We do appreciate it.
MKBAUGHAN: I am glad we didn't scare you away with the first chat.
Laskye: Is Patti still doing the typing? Hope you all are having a great time together.
MrJBolt: No no, it's nice of you to be here. I'm grateful to you. Thank you!
DebAvonRep: :-)
MICNPAM: You're quite welcome!
BUC252: Aw, shucks. . . . <g>
Laskye: You are most welcome!
MrJBolt: Yes, Patti typing. Watch out for typos. LOL
Blu Skiiz: It's our PLEASURE, believe me!
BUC252: Hi, Patti! {{{{{{{{Patti}}}}}}}}
MKBAUGHAN: I will keep an eye out for you, Patti.....

Blu Skiiz: I have a question..If you hadn't become an actor, what other profession might you have gotten into?
MrJBolt: My dream to be an actor started so early that I never flirted with other thoughts.
MaryAliceHurd: Thank goodness!
Blu Skiiz: Well, we're surely glad you did become an actor! :-)
MrJBolt: I wanted to be Clark Gable.
MKBAUGHAN: He was a great actor.
Nalacat: A better looking Clark Gable. :)
Blu Skiiz: I hear you're writing now, too! I'd love to read your work!

Laskye: Since Bob Hope has been in the news lately, have you ever worked with him?
MrJBolt: No, I have not, but I have met Bob Hope once or twice. I met his wife a month ago at Larry Hagman's house. Beautiful woman.
Blu Skiiz: They seem like such a sweet couple, the Hope's.
MaryAliceHurd: Oh, please thank Larry Hagman for me...I'm glad that Dallas is now remembered for the TV show "Dallas", thanks to him, and not for other things.

NEA WOOD: What was it like being on the Dating Game?
DebAvonRep: I didn't know you were on the Dating Game....
MrJBolt: I got a free trip to Switzerland and to London (from the Dating Game.) My daughter was in finishing school and we met in London.
DebAvonRep: I have a question...may I go?
MaryAliceHurd: Deb, I think you just jump in, no permission needed!
DebAvonRep: ok...thanks....lol
MrJBolt: That was the motivation for appearing on that kinky show. Dating Game, that is.
NEA WOOD: LOL
Blu Skiiz: So you did go on the date? How was it? :-)
MKBAUGHAN: It was a little strange.
MrJBolt: I say kinky because it is all to do with sex, isn't it?
MaryAliceHurd: Oh my. So what happened?
MKBAUGHAN: Even for the '60s.
NEA WOOD: The way they presented it, yes, it was!
MrJBolt: Yes, I went to Switzerland and London with the date.
Blu Skiiz: It's still on today, too!  Hasn't changed much!
MrJBolt: I told them where I wanted to go.
Blu Skiiz: Wonderful!
MICNPAM: How great to be able to choose your destination!
MrJBolt: The girl that won the trip that I chose to go with me was someone who sounded fightened.
Laskye: Frightened?  Of you?
MrJBolt: She answered all of the questions backwards. The other girls were funny and seductive.
MaryAliceHurd: No, frightened of his FANS!!!
Laskye: Ah, I see.
BUC252: Now days, you'd have to be much more so.  People can be really nuts.
Blu Skiiz: Is that why you chose her?
MrJBolt: I chose the one that was the least likely to get the chance.
NEA WOOD: Oh, Robert...that is so sweet!
MICNPAM: Awww...that's sweet.
Blu Skiiz: How sweet!
BUC252: How nice!
MrJBolt: I regret the choice I made. The plane landed in Germany to refuel. We got off the plane, and we had about an hour and half to
kill, and the girl never returned, she got lost. I held the plane, waiting.
DebAvonRep: You regret chosing the trip or the girl....lol
 NEA WOOD: What?!
Blu Skiiz: Oh my gosh!
Laskye: Oh my gosh!!
MaryAliceHurd: I'm telling you, one of your biggest FANatics probably took her out!
DebAvonRep: You're kidding???!!!!
Blu Skiiz: She didn't complete the trip then?
MrJBolt: I kept going to look for her in the terminal. She arrived on another plane....
MICNPAM: So you spent the trip alone?
MrJBolt: ......late that night expecting to share my private quarters.
NEA WOOD: Oh my!
MrJBolt: I think she must have been a drinker.
Blu Skiiz: Oh Lordy! :-)
NEA WOOD: LOL!  Well....choosing her was a nice thought, anyway!
MICNPAM: With Chaperones, of course.
MaryAliceHurd: Didn't they used to send chaperones on those dates?
MKBAUGHAN: What were those chaperones like?
MrJBolt: I gave her a burberry coat because she didn't have any clothes, and it was getting chilly. That was the last I saw of my coat.
NEA WOOD: LOL
MrJBolt: We had a chaperone who drank more than I did. It was a perfect one.
Nalacat: The coat's probably on sale on ebay now.
Blu Skiiz: She didn't pack the right clothing?
MaryAliceHurd: I can't blame her for that! Keeping your coat, I mean.
NEA WOOD: Hahaha
MICNPAM: Or didn't pack any clothing at all?
Laskye: ebay. LOL
MKBAUGHAN: Quick, someone log in and check!
MrJBolt: She lost her luggage because she never got back on the plane that had her luggage.
Blu Skiiz: Oh, I see! Wow...such an interesting story!
NEA WOOD: Well...at least you got the free trip out of it!

BUC252: If you weren't playing Jason, which other character on Brides would you like to have played?

DebAvonRep: I vividly recall the Bewitched episode you were on....any thoughts about the show or actors?
MrJBolt: All the actors were sweet and loveable. I met Elizabeth Montgomery's father once. I loved being in that part of the world to film that episode of Bewitched.  I hated the makeup I wore as a statue. They had to paint it on.
MaryAliceHurd: What part of the world was that...New England?
MrJBolt: Yes, New England. Salem, MA.
Laskye: Hey, right near where "the Brides" came from!!
DebAvonRep: Which brings us "full circle"...thanks for bringing that point up...Susie...LOL
Laskye: Thanks Deb.
Blu Skiiz: Many of us are hoping or planning a Get Together to that very area!

Blu Skiiz: Is there an actor or actress you always admired that you never had the chance to work with, or that you wish you could still work with now?
MrJBolt: Sure, I worked with some of the greats but I never worked with Oliveri and Gielgud.

JHSIESS: Where you ever under contract to a particular studio under one of those talent development programs?

Laskye: MKBAUGHAN: NEA WOOD: Blu Skiiz: MICNPAM: BUC252: DebAvonRep: Hi Henry! Welcome, Henry! Hi, Stuart!
MrJBolt: Hello Henry, how's your dink?
Blu Skiiz: Is it Henry or Stuart?
CapClancey: It's Stu - we just got back from the Highland Games! Here comes the real Henry!

MICNPAM: I have a question, Mr. Brown.
MrJBolt: Okay, Pam.
MICNPAM: Was there an episode of HCTB that was your favorite?
MrJBolt: I never think of favorites. Just being there with the people that I got to care about and know as family was favorite enough for me. Each episode was another hill to climb.
MICNPAM: I've personally narrowed my own favorite down to 52 episodes.
MaryAliceHurd: The only HCTB episode we all agree was a least favourite was the last one...because it WAS the last one!
BUC252: Oh, but it was a great Joshua episode. <g>
MrJBolt: You never know until you finish and put it all together which
scripts were better. You don't see the whole picture until it's over.

CapClancey: Here he is! Dink and all! ;-)

DebAvonRep: Why was there a different totem pole in the pilot then in then rest of the series?

Blu Skiiz: I think that's one of the reasons the show was so wonderful -- we could all feel the love you all had for one another.
MaryAliceHurd: Yes, an ensemble that worked!
Blu Skiiz: The best cast possible, that's for sure!
MICNPAM: There was a wonderful working chemistry among the cast. Amen, Laurie!
Blu Skiiz: :-)
Laskye: What was it like for you all when they said the show would not be renewed?
MrJBolt: I'm the same fool today as I was there and I looked forward to the next adventure, when the show ended.
MaryAliceHurd: And that chemistry sure worked on all of us, as well!
Thanks, all of you!
Redhed9713: Do you ever watch the show?
Blu Skiiz: Yes, do you have tapes?
MrJBolt: No, it doesn't play. Kathy, I would be happy to take any tapes of the episodes that I can get.
MaryAliceHurd: Cue Kathy....
MICNPAM: Kathy, that's your cue!
Redhed9713: I would be happy to send you the entire set.
Blu Skiiz: She's the wonderful friend who's done tapes for so many of us! They're wonderful!
MaryAliceHurd: Kathy, I'm sure I speak for everyone who's eagerly awaiting those tapes when I say...Put Mr B's set at the top of your LIST!!!
Redhed9713: Patty, I will mail them to you.
MrJBolt: WOW! Thank you, Kathy.
Redhed9713: Well, you and the Captain have given us so much joy! It's my pleasure.
CapClancey: You mean you didn't keep the tapes, ye bloody great clot?
NEA WOOD: DebAvonRep: Blu Skiiz:  Laskye:  Henry LOL
BUC252: You are so cute, Henry! LOL
MrJBolt: Henry, I guess I was busy watching the sunset here in California. I was blinded by the beauty of it.

KrnTj: Who in the HCTB cast kept everybody laughing?
MrJBolt: Laughing? Robert Brown. :-)
NEA WOOD: LOL
MICNPAM: :-)

BUC252: Is there anything about Brides you would have liked to have seen done differently?
MrJBolt: Brides could have been better, truer to the author's intent.
MaryAliceHurd: Which was?
Redhed9713: What was the author's intent?
Blu Skiiz: I noticed it was much different later than in the pilot. Did you not approve of the changes?
Blu Skiiz: The humor was one of the best aspects in my opinion.
CapClancey: The author's intent was as I said at one time: Like that famous confection, it was truth, love, beauty, corn and a little salt!
NEA WOOD: Blu Skiiz: Laskye: LOL Henry
NEA WOOD: I love that description, Henry
Blu Skiiz: It's very accurate! :-)
DebAvonRep: :-)
Blu Skiiz: Such a good recipe! :-)
MICNPAM: How well said!
MaryAliceHurd: I never noticed any corn or ham in that recipe, meself!

MICNPAM: If the show had continued for future seasons, what specifically would you like to have seen happen to your character or others on the show?
MrJBolt: If the show had continued, age with dignity and humor.

NEA WOOD:
Henry and Robert, did you know each other before doing HCTB?
DebAvonRep: Good question!
MrJBolt: No, I didn't know Henry before Brides, but the moment I met him I knew him for the scoundral he is.  Clancey was a scoudrel to trusted just like Henry Beckman himself was to be trusted.
MaryAliceHurd: Diplomatically put!
StuartBec: Stuart's here...again... ;-)

Laskye: Did you know any of the cast members prior to the show, Robert?
MrJBolt: Yes, I knew Bridget before HCTB. My closest friend was E.W. Swackhamer, the famous director. He rented my house on Malibu colony one summer and that is where I met Bridget.
DebAvonRep: Was she married to him before Brides, or did they meet doing the show?
Laskye: Ah. :-)
MaryAliceHurd: Mr. B, didn't you know Bridget before HCTB? I read they were married at your home. How lovely!
MKBAUGHAN: And a very fine director he was.
MrJBolt: They met before the show.
NEA WOOD: With helicopters flying overhead?
StuartBec: Not so arguably the best director in TV...
MrJBolt: Yes, they were married at my home. They went on their honeymoon and had forgotten to sign their wedding documents, and I had to do it in their behalf.
Blu Skiiz: Yes, his episodes he directed of Brides were some of my favorites.
DebAvonRep: lol
Laskye: Oh gosh.
NEA WOOD: What a pal!
Blu Skiiz: Oh wow!
MrJBolt: We hid out, no press. The only press was outside the gates.
DebAvonRep: Do Bridget and him have any children?
MrJBolt: Yes, two. They just had their second grandchild.
DebAvonRep: Beautiful!

Redhed9713: Did you ever want to change the script you were given?

Redhed9713: Does it surprise you that you have such a fan following after all these years?
MaryAliceHurd: Because it doesn't surprise us!

CapClancey: No, Bridget was too stuck-up to acknowledge my existence! The Irish don't recognize Canada.
NEA WOOD:  Blu Skiiz: LOL, Henry!
MKBAUGHAN: Hey, wait, I am Irish!!!! And I love Celine Dion... ( not to mention a crusty actor I know )
MaryAliceHurd: Hey, wait, the Cap'n Irish AND Canadian!

StuartBec: Robert took a wonderful picture of those two girls - Bridget has it hanging on her wall...
NEA WOOD: You're an accomplished photographer, I hear?
BUC252: Are you an accomplished photographer, or merely a shutterbug like me?
MrJBolt: Well, I know how to put the film in the camera and can point at what I am aiming at. I am lucky it comes out. Nowadays you don't have to be acconplished to have photos come out with the new cameras.
Blu Skiiz: Yes, even the professionals use the automatic ones now, I hear. Yes, I hear you are a great photographer! What kind of photos do you like to take?
MICNPAM: Hey, I keep forgetting to change the date on my camera! It still says 1994!
MKBAUGHAN: The batteries are probably dead by now Pammy.
NEA WOOD: You are very modest.
Blu Skiiz: What kind of camera do you use?
MKBAUGHAN: For the autofocus, you have to hold them still.
MaryAliceHurd: Not true...it still takes talent to get the right picture, not just the picture right!
MICNPAM: We hear your wife is quite the artist, too.
NEA WOOD: How *is* Elisse?
MrJBolt: Yes, Elissie is. She is a full fledged 7 days a week painter.
Blu Skiiz: Do you ever do artwork, Robert?
MrJBolt: Elisse is wonderful. Painting away in the studio.
MaryAliceHurd: She is wonderfully blessed, as well!

BUC252: If you had lived in the 1800's, which time period do you think you would like better?
MrJBolt: I pefer the 18th century, the romantic century. Only if I were wealthy and had a castle of my own. Otherwise I would take it just as it is today.
MKBAUGHAN: Ok, so we are talking like the Bronte's?
MKBAUGHAN: If you could choose any character, from classic or modern Literature to play.
MrJBolt: Don Quixote.
MKBAUGHAN: You would make a great Don Quixote
MaryAliceHurd: Ay, si, si!!!
StuartBec: Tilting at windmills are we? ;-)
Blu Skiiz: I believe I'm correct that you read a lot of books…and I was
wondering if you have a favorite author and/or book that you can recommend to us?
MKBAUGHAN: Yes, who do you like to read?
MrJBolt: When I finish a book that is my favorite, if it's a good one. Then the next is a favorite.
MKBAUGHAN: (this is from a person who takes a book to DisneyWorld with her to read in the lines)
MKBAUGHAN: I have lost two there
JHSIESS: Mine always fall in the pool!! :-)
MrJBolt: I like to read authors who wrote for the New Yorker magazine in the 1930's and 40's.
MKBAUGHAN: Do you read mysteries? True Crime? History?
MrJBolt: Noel Coward.
MKBAUGHAN: He's great!
MaryAliceHurd: Oh, yes, I hate waiting anywhere without something to read!
MKBAUGHAN: Studying the rides, Stu?
MKBAUGHAN: I drop mine in the bathtub
MaryAliceHurd: I wake up with my face covered by the book where it fell when I fell...asleep!

BUC252: As a very literate man, did you try to instill a love of reading in your daughter? Does she love it, too?

NEA WOOD: You spend a lot of time in Italy...what is about Italy that you love, that draws you?
MrJBolt: The first is the people. Then the history that is surrounding us in Tuscany. Every little walkway with stones tell a story of Medici's footprints.
NEA WOOD: Sounds lovely.
MaryAliceHurd: What about Scotland? Ever visited?
Laskye: I'm sure it's lovely over there. Ahhh.......
MrJBolt: Yes to Scotland. The moment I visited the Highlands I thought I had returned home.
MaryAliceHurd: I hear you!
MrJBolt: Something magical occured with the mist and the color of the heather and the rich deep green grass.
Laskye: Ever seen Nessy? LOL
NEA WOOD: LOL Susie
MaryAliceHurd: I know just what you mean!
MrJBolt: It beckoned me home. It was surprising. I didn't expect to be touched  so deeply as I was of the isle of Skye.
MKBAUGHAN: I feel that way about Main Street in the Magic Kingdom.... seriously.
StuartBec: We just got back from the Highland Games! The pipes they were a callin'!
Laskye: I would love to visit Scotland. It has a special meaning to me too. Sigh....
MaryAliceHurd: There's a great deal within us all that we don't acknowledge...the tug of "ethnic memory"?
MaryAliceHurd: A man with a burr or in a kilt can talk me into anything!
MKBAUGHAN: When I was younger, I read biographies of Alexander Graham Bell, it made me want to go to Edinburgh
MICNPAM: This makes me want to visit Scotland!
NEA WOOD: Me too!
MaryAliceHurd: Next HCTB gathering: Ediburgh!
Blu Skiiz: LOL!
MKBAUGHAN: Oh, that will be an affordable one.
Laskye: Wishful thinking....

Redhed9713: Is there any part that you wish you had gotten or would have like to have played

MaryAliceHurd: And Spain?
MrJBolt: I found Spain to be a rich experience. I worked on a film on the Isle of Tabarka, near Alacae on the coast of Del Sol. And the Prado Museum in Madrid is the finest museum in the world in my opinion. And the Ritz Hotel is the most elegant hotel I have ever been to there.
Blu Skiiz: It all sounds so wonderful.
MrJBolt: Even though I was asked to leave when I had lunch because I was an actor.
NEA WOOD: How wonderful to be able to travel like that!
MaryAliceHurd: Oh, the next largest collection of Spanish art in the world after the Prado is right here in Dallas
NEA WOOD: What?!
MICNPAM: Really?
Blu Skiiz: Why?  They don't like actors?
MaryAliceHurd: Was this during (ptui) Franco's tenure?
MrJBolt: I discovered afterwards that Eva Gardner had an affair in that hotel with one of the owners companions.
Laskye: oh la la.... :-)
MrJBolt: That put an end to the rein of the actor in that hotel.
Blu Skiiz: Oh wow!
Laskye: Ah.
NEA WOOD: Interesting
MaryAliceHurd: Still, they do make GREAT bloody marys there!
MKBAUGHAN: I was thinking the same thing Susie.
StuartBec: No dogs or actors allowed? ;-)
NEA WOOD: LOL Stu
MaryAliceHurd: Me faither nae thought there was unco difference between the two!
Blu Skiiz: Speaking of actors, who do you think are especially good actors/actresses of today in movies and/or television?
MrJBolt: I just had the good fortune of meeting and talking with David Duchovny.
Laskye: Cool. :-)
MaryAliceHurd: !!!!!
MrJBolt: (From Patti: Settle down Mary! <g>)
MKBAUGHAN: Cool... see Mary a new Xfiles connection.
MICNPAM: LOL
Blu Skiiz: He's a very good actor...Henry's worked with him, huh?!?
MrJBolt: He was in the film with Carroll O' Connor, Return To Me.
MKBAUGHAN: How did you meet him?
MaryAliceHurd: Wait, are you talking to me? I'm Carol Anne! Gordon.
BUC252: Oh, David!!!!!!
MKBAUGHAN: That answers that!
Blu Skiiz: I loved that movie!
Laskye: Oh that's right. I want to see that movie.
BUC252: He is soooooooo gorgeous - and smart. Great movie, too!
StuartBec : Dad did 3 X-Files...
MaryAliceHurd: Romantic, one, too, I hear.
BUC252: (Can you guess I'm a fan?)
MrJBolt: David Duchovny is an authentic leading man in the old tradition.
MKBAUGHAN: Mary.... calm down now....
BUC252: Yeah, I've seen all three, Stuart. Great eps, too. I'd like to see him reprise the role.
MrJBolt: He is just so human.
Blu Skiiz: Yes!  That movie was very much like an old-time movie! I think that's why I loved it so!
MrJBolt: He was sweet.
NEA WOOD: That's nice to know.
MrJBolt: Mostly his talent is so unusal. I had never seen Xfiles.
BUC252: That's so nice to hear. We, as viewers, never really know what actors are like.
MaryAliceHurd: No way!
MrJBolt: He is going to have a BIG big career.
BUC252: I think so. He directed and wrote his first project - an episode - the year before last and seems to have a natural talent.
StuartBec: David does a VERY funny impersonation of Richard Gere...
BUC252: He does? LOL
StuartBec: He just blinks his eyes and it's histerical!
Blu Skiiz: LOL!
MKBAUGHAN: You should see Henry's eps... those are 3 of the
best....especially SQUEEZE & TOOMS
BUC252: Chinga is the third. Stephen King wrote that one, but I liked the other two better.

BUC252: Would you perform with David Duchovny if given the chance?

MaryAliceHurd: What are some of your favourite movies, Mr. B, and why?

NEA WOOD: What about actresses? Any who particularly impresses you?
MrJBolt: Yes, Meryl Streep.
NEA WOOD: Ah! Good choice.
MrJBolt: She is as good as you can get.
Blu Skiiz: She's wonderful, agreed.
BUC252: Would you perform with David Duchovny if given the chance?
MrJBolt: I hung up my ice skates and my boxing gloves and I don't even flirt with thoughts of that.
Blu Skiiz: Never say never, though! :-)
MaryAliceHurd: Oh, no!!!!!
MrJBolt: Bu, in truth, I would act with Donald Duck if the price were right. LOL!
ALL: LOL
MaryAliceHurd: I'm passing the hat now!
BUC252: LOL. Now that would be an interesting project. . .
MKBAUGHAN: hey, you know the Mouse.... anything can happen...
MICNPAM: :-)
MrJBolt: So, then, my principals are as thin as a dollar bill.
Blu Skiiz: Okay, how many members in the HCTB fan club? .... pass the hat around! :-)
MaryAliceHurd: I don't believe a word of it!
JHSIESS: Well, I must go. Thank you very much for chatting with us.
MrJBolt: Get a big hat and I'll be there!
Laskye: There are 172 members now!
MaryAliceHurd: I have the biggest hat in Texas, and we have BIG hats and BIGGER heads!
Blu Skiiz: We would sure love to see you perform again...
MICNPAM: Yes, we surely would!

MrJBolt: Ask me one more good question before we have to leave.
MaryAliceHurd: When are you coming to Dallas?
Laskye: Oh gosh, it is about that time, huh?
NEA WOOD: It went by so fast!
Blu Skiiz: It sure did!
DebAvonRep: This "chat" hour went too fast!!
Redhed9713: Come to Vancouver, Washington!!!  I know a place you can stay!!! LOL
DebAvonRep: Feels like we are just getting started!
Blu Skiiz: If there were a good enough script, would you do a HCTB movie?
MrJBolt: That's all academic. If somebody were really powerful enough too look backwards on a family show where violence were frowned on....if anybody would be dumb enough to put that on TV in these violent times, I would be privileged to represent  the good guy any day of the week in a HCTB movie.
MaryAliceHurd: Yes!!!!!!!
Blu Skiiz: Oh how wonderful!!
NEA WOOD: Yay!
DebAvonRep: Ok, then....let the campaigning begin!
MICNPAM: That would be so wonderful!
MaryAliceHurd: Sweet dreams are guaranteed for all of us now!
DebAvonRep: Absolutely!

Laskye: Would you possibly make an apperance at a HCTB Get Together in the future?

MaryAliceHurd: Can we do this again sometime? Pretty please?
MrJBolt: Anytime we can get together with Patti for a chat and any of her good cronies that can spell for her, I am available. Providing my dear wife Elisse allows me to flirt with beatiful women in the afternoon and evening.
Blu Skiiz: You've made our day, to say the least! :-)
DebAvonRep: And hats off to Patti for arranging this.
BUC252: Very much so. We sincerely appreciate your taking the time to talk with us.
MICNPAM: This has been a real treat, Robert. Thank you for your time!
Redhed9713: Yes, thank you.
Blu Skiiz: Yes, thank you Patti and thank you Robert! This was so wonderful!
MaryAliceHurd: Ah, so 'tis Patti we must bribe!  Patti, are you a choco-holic?
Redhed9713: Thanks, Patti.
DebAvonRep: And thank you, Robert, for sharing your time and thoughts.
NEA WOOD: Well, then, we thank Elisse, as Well!
Blu Skiiz: Tell Elisse thank you for us, too!
MKBAUGHAN: Patti, and Karen, consider yourself hugged....
Laskye: Thanks Robert. It's been such a pleasure chatting with you once again.
MrJBolt: Thank you very much for the swell afternoon! So long for now.
MaryAliceHurd: Yes, please thank Elisse for sharing!
MICNPAM: Yes, Hi, Patti and Karen!
