Jacqueline Cochran (1906-1980), aviatrix, and long time Indio resident, is remembered for breaking down the walls and barriers women of her generation faced, and that there is nothing you can't do.

Location: The Cochran-Odlum Ranch was the home of Jacqueline Cochran and Floyd Oldum and located at what is now Indian Palms Country Club at the southwest corner of Monroe and Avenue 48 in Indio, Ca., and was roughly 800 acres in size.
