Welcome!

A Warm Welcome to you visitor !

I'm David Nakamoto.  Here's a little introduction to my world - philosophy, astronomy, music, writing, engineering, science, and a few other little things.

On Mon 6th Mar 2006 I started a log of my public star party images and experiences, which I hope to update monthly as weather and opportunity permits.  Click on the "Public Star Party" link to the left to go to that page.

I've been a member of the Los Angeles Astronomical Society (LAAS) for more than twenty years, and a member of the JPL Astronomy Club from 1985 to 2002.  Nearly all my public star party activities are connected with the LAAS and Griffith Observatory.  If you wish to learn more about the LAAS, click on this link: http://www.laas.org/

For those with good memories, this is the poem used in the movie El Dorado.  It was used at least twice in the movie, spoken by Mississippi (the James Caan character).  I was curious as to whether it was a real poem and if there was anything more to it, so I looked on the Internet.

I reprint it here with illustrations showing one set of Feel-Images this poem produces within me.  Enjoy !
