All over the San Gabriel Valley it was overcast, with no break in the clouds. Towards the coast
it was clear, as was the San Fernando Valley. In between was Griffith, so it was no surprise that those west of Griffith
showed up and those east did not, except for me, thanks to a phone call with a friend of mine who lives on the coast.
The clouds did not move west until the end of the session around 930pm. Haze stayed with us,
but with the Moon and Jupiter this made little difference.
These images were taken with my 127-mm aperture Maksutov operating at f/24.2 and a Creative Pro eX
web camera. Registax v3.0 was used to stack the images and Paint Shop Pro v8.0 to do the final processing.

This image is a stack of about 500 images. The 'star'
to the right is Io, the two on the left are Ganymede (the brighter of the two) and Europa. Despite another
night of relatively poor seeing, a lot of detail can still be seen on Jupiter, including the Great Red Spot.

600 images selected and stacked to produce this image. More detail and color contrast can be seen in this image than the previous one. For some reason
this image processed better for both, but Io is off the image's edge to the left.
