CALVMX (California Vintage Motocross) is predominantly a CZ group of guys and John Lambert is one of them. He built this beautiful
400 Falta Replica after many years of wanting one. He did a great job wouldnt you agree? John actively races this machine
in the Intermediate class.

A 1976 380cc Falta Replica submitted by Ronnie Welch. Here's what Ronnie has to say about this
machine. This is my latest project completion. I didnt go full on resto or polished bling bling. I wanted an unrerstored period
correct machine. Not an all original off the showroom bike, but a period correct racer. I did not paint anything but the pipe.
Did not put anything on a polishing wheel. I took the whole bike apart and cleaned everything to the highest degree I could,
and reasembled with parts off other machines, utilizing only what came from the mid to late
70's time frame. The only new items are the grips, fenders and number plates. Even the seat and cover are original (off my
74). This project was fun and satisfying, and I plan to do several others in this manner.

We are very pleased to be able to showcase the next two original Falta machines thanks to Clay
Setzer of Flashback Racing, San Diego, CA. The 400 was only ridden 3 or 4 times ever! The 250 below is brand new, never ridden!
Here is the historical background on these two wonderful finds that we are happy are in good hands. The bikes were delivered to COLUMBIA RIVER HONDA 1235 Columbia
River Highway, St. Helens, Oregon on February 25, 1976 by American Jawa in Compton CA. They remined part of the
inventory until the business went under. The owners keep both bikes and stored them in their warehouse for the
next 30 years! They were uncovered and sold as part of a "house cleaning". The owners were both in their
early 80's and are currently building a house in Alaska and needed to down size....Both bikes came with their original "Manufacturers'
Statement of Origin to a Motor Vehicle" and their tool kits. The owners said that both bikes were delivered to their
shop with the shocks laid down exactly as they are now. They could not comment on weather the shocks had been laid down
by someone at American Jawa in Compton Calif., or if they came that way from the factory (this is an issue of dispute
on the 1976 CZ's). The front and rear fenders are Preston Petty Mudders and have been confirmed as correct for the bikes.
The 250 has never had a drop of American fuel run through it, the 400 just a couple rides making these CZ's very
special not only to me but CZ enthusiasts the world over!
