Shipping and Handling
We don't ship baby birds; it's too risky to their health.
We can coordinate how you can pick the baby up, when you choose to bring one of our little guys home.
Please feel free to contact us!

Returns
Whenever you bring home a baby bird, you should also bring home a health guarantee. Generally speaking you,
the new bird owner, have a limited number of days to have a qualified avian veterinarian examine the baby.
The standard period is seven (7) days. I will provide you with a copy of our health guarantee upon request.
An example is below:
Your new bird, Leg band No: LEG BAND NO,
is guaranteed healthy and free of disease. You can get confirmation of this by
taking your bird to a qualified veterinarian with in the next seven (7) days.
This would be by: DATE.
If your bird is
found to have an underlying problem by your avian veterinarian, we will take the bird back and refund your money. Although avian certification is not necessary, we do require that the veterinarian be well-qualified to
treat and care for birds and have significant experience in avian medicine.
Young birds are
susceptible to many diseases, so we ask that you not expose the bird to any other birds for the first six weeks in your home. This is a standard quarantine period for birds.
If you expose the bird to other birds during this time, the health guarantee is no longer in effect.
If your bird should
die for any reason during the guarantee period, we reserve the right to have our avian veterinarian perform a necropsy and
determine the cause of death. We will make arrangements to pick up the bird within
48 hours. If you do not make the bird available to us within 48 hours, the guarantee
is voided. This is because a necropsy must be performed within 72 hours for the
results to be accurate and meaningful.
The guarantee does
not cover death due to any of the following:
Exposure to aerosolized
chemicals, overheated non-stick cookware such as Teflon or Silverstone, new carpeting, scented candles, air fresheners, heated
essential oils, pesticides or herbicides, or other chemicals known to be harmful to birds.
The guarantee also does not cover death due to ingestion of dangerous foods such as chocolate or avocado; death due
to injury such as flying into windows, drowning, or improper supervision with small children; death due to any physical contact
with cats, which carry bacteria known to be dangerous to birds, or injury caused by another pet bird or animal in the home;
death due to exposure to drafts.
