The Worst Kind of News

Auschwitz begins whenever someone looks at a slaughterhouse and thinks: they're only animals. -
Theodor Adorno

Here I am trying to understand how very cruel we can be to animals.  How we use them in every way possible - always certain that "they pay their way"... That their service of use to man is what "justifies" their existance.  Society also agrees that this "use" and "service" be "necessary to man".

We do not like to see "unneccessary" harm done to animals... We all agree, we should not use animals without a "need" to.  Some imperative, above all else that permits whatever grevious act because their was "no other choice".  That "necessity" is what most of us agrees is the only valid reason to treat animals in somekind of harmful way.  Our humanity does not allow us to tolerate a "cruelty" without viable and reasonable justification.

That is what we say -  I'd like to examin what we do:

Starting with one of the most "frivolous frolics" that man tolerates abuse to animals for... The Circus
