circus

I'm writing to tell my story... of how I became aware of the world of exploitation that nonhuman animals are thrust in. Oddly enough, it all began at the circus...

Once upon a time, I was a very nice vegetarian... And during a get togther I mentioned how I was looking forward to going to the circus. A friend said: "Oh no! You can't go to the circus..." She said she would send me something on the web that would explain. And indeed... when I saw images like this:

I immediately knew I could not support such a cruel "tradition"... I wouldn't go to the circus - and no big deal...

But, on the side bar... there was a link that said: Factory Farm... I had never heard of a "factory farm" before - So in keeping with an inquisitive mind... I clicked. And there it was... "Meet Your Meat" - And from here on... everything changed. My whole perception of the reality. I never could have imagined what I saw...

And what I continued to learn in the days, weeks and eternity that follows... How were these awful events happening without my awareness?
