Painting for Fundraising Project for "Mother's Village"
A Quote from Fr. Svet:
"Whenever you see a person walking on the bad roads of life, do not judge him or her. They are often blameless
for being in such a situation. We are trying to achieve a Christian and faithful culture at Mothers Village. Everyone
of us should be given the opportunity to be born, to grow and, eventually, reach the abundance of God's grace."

While I was at the Medjugorje Peace Conference in Irvine
on October 25 and 26 I was able to sell $300 worth of these prints for Mothers Village orphanage. 100% of the proceeds
went to Fr. Svet that evening... thank you so much for all of you who bought prints.

Mothers village is a shelter started by Father's Slavko for refugee orphan boys
and girls from the war in Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina and which, now because of necessity, has been expanded to include-help
for children from broken homes, help for families without fathers, help for families with no means of support, help for single
mothers with children, and help for former drug addicts. My goal is to sell the print that is featured on this page.
It depicts a loving father Svet, who now runs the orphanage, whom I met at a peace conference in Irvine a few years ago.
He always had such a concerned look on his face that when my sister, Kim, finally captured a photo of him smiling, I decided
to paint a portrait of him. I wanted to use it for something useful and important, because I know that he wouldn't accept
it as a gift to just hang in his office. So if you feel inclined to find out more about this please sign my
guestbook with an e-mail or phone number and I will contact you. Thank you. CB
I am a new supporter of "Marine Comfort Quilts" here you'll find
a brief synopsis and link.
CB
"Marine Comfort Quilt Group is a not for profit ministry whose objective is to provide a memorial quilt of comfort
to the next of kin of our fallen military. The quilts are made from thirty quilt squares, each containing an inspirational
message from it's donor or another serviceman. The quilts are stitches of love from those who want so badly to bring
comfort, but don't know how to help."
