This
is a BIG meeting, so plan on being there to join the fun.
November is Awards Night. This is the night we celebrate with those who received their Standards of Excellence for the past year.
We also have a great list of special
guests. We have leaders and officers from every decade joining us. We’ll hear
about special events and memories throughout the last 75 years of Hudson Ag.
This
meeting will last close to 1 ½ hours, so please plan accordingly.
Still looking for additional New Member Mentors. This would involve a family, a family member or an older 4H member who would be able to answer questions for new members regarding registration, records, etc.
T-Shirts. We’ve ordered the Tie
Dye T-Shirts for those of you that signed up. If you’re didn’t order one but are still interested, let Laurie know. We can take a final order through the end of November.
Ice Cream Social – Thank you to the Bixby family and all the helpers who spent some time at the 4-H table at the Hudson Elementary Ice Cream Social passing out 4H information and tattoos.
Camping – We had 25 campers at Comlara
Park. Thank you to all the parent helpers, particularly Rick Rutherford, my
camping HERO. Great weather and Good Kids made for a wonderful weekend.
Older members – Keep you eye on future
newsletters. We’ll be looking at a canoe and camping trip some time this spring for those 14 and older.
December Plans
Do you have a favorite
Gingerbread
House pattern? How about
ideas for
wildlife Christmas
treats? Let Laurie
know. We’re going to be
getting artsy and
craftsy at the December
meeting.
As part of our birthday plans, our club set a goal to look at building some new shelving in the Town Hall for additional displays. We also wanted to build new benches and picnic tables for the Wildlife Garden.
We are looking for a volunteer (or two) to coordinate workshops to design and build these items.
This could be an older club member or a family member --- or both!
