What’s Happenin’ with Hudson Ag

 

 2nd – 9th - 4 -H Window Display-Library

Make sure you check out the Window Display at the Hudson Public Area Library. It’s pretty groovy.

16th - Overnight Camp Trip – Comlara Park

Have you signed up yet? I need your form and $10 at the October meeting. Let’s go for a record number of campers this year. Bring a friend!

Ice Cream Social

We need some help yet for the Ice Cream Social table. Mrs. Bixby needs another adult or an older 4H member to help as well as some additional members. We’ll be passing out candy and tattoos. Make sure you sign up at the October meeting.

November - 6th Funks Farm and Rock Museum

We’re still planning on a trip to the Funk Family Farms and the Funk Rock Museum. We’ll need sign ups at the October meeting. Details to follow.

Paul Simon “Bow Tie Day” (Community Service)

We need a project! Let’s start thinking about a great project we can do on this designated day in November. We’ll talk at the meeting.

 

 

New Member Class

Did you see ALL of our guests and new members at the September meeting?

WOW!! It was stupendous! Fantastic! Awesome!

We had: Vince and Delaney Kroll, Nina Lee, Evan Harn, Molly Burke, Chase Cook, Cameron Hinshaw, Lindsey and Lauren Sebade, Waite Uphoff, Shawna Trunnell, Jacob and Rachel Biggerstaff, Luke and Joel Gordon, Lauren Baker, a couple of new Days, and I hope I didn’t miss anyone that was there, but if I did, make sure I meet you again in October!

We will have a special class in November for new members before our regular meeting. Details to follow.

 

All of you that have helped out with our various projects so far this year…..THANK YOU!

We had quite a few helping out at the Darrow Family benefit. And the Wildlife Garden looks great, after all the work on it this past Sunday.

Goals for Hudson Ag 4-H 2004-2005 Club Year

 

1) Create an awareness for the club and the community of the 75th Anniversary of Hudson Ag 4-H through self-promotion, community service and community gifts.

                (Separate List of possible projects)

2) Have all leaders; officers and junior leaders take on leadership responsibilities for at least one workshop, meeting, community service or activity during the Club Year

3) Maintain or increase enrollment of Hudson Ag 4-H

4) Promote club unity through activities that promote interaction between all levels and ages of 4H members, including the Clover Bud Kids.

5) Increase involvement and provide leadership at the County and State Level of 4H

6) Continue to improve our Project and Demonstration Skills

 

 

Hudson Ag 4H 75th Anniversary Goals

 

1)       Provide media information monthly to promote awareness of our Club

2)       Have at least 2 meetings that interact with alumni

3)       Increase the Alumni involvement in other activities besides meetings, such as softball tournament, camping, etc.

4)       Provide some gifts back to our Hudson Community. Examples that need to be considered and approved by vote are:

·         Additional cabinets in Town Hall for displays

·         Tree or Aerospace Tent for Fair Grounds

·         Tables and Chairs (build) for Garden

·         Some type of purchase for Town Parks?

5)       Complete 75 hours of community service

6)       Birthday Party for the 4H Families

7)       Fun Facts about Hudson Ag or things that are 75 at each meeting

8)       Scrapbook/History of the Club

9)       Commemorative Items for Members (T-Shirts, Pins, etc)

10)    Club Booth Birthday Theme
