Back: to Markets
Back to Blood Currency Prosperity
Parallel Circuits
Human action can be compared to a parallel electrical circuit. The Market is the entire human action circuit. Each individual can be viewed as capacitors. An electric capacitor is a physical device used in electric circuits to take in energy, store energy, and release energy. A capacitor can be used by a practical joker to shock an unsuspecting victim. The practical joker takes the capacitor to a battery or other source of electric energy and charges up the capacitor. The capacitor is then given to the victim. The victim touches the capacitor and gets shocked by the electricity. Human beings become capacitors when they shuffle their feet on the carpet. A practical joker can become a capacitor by shuffling their feet on the carpet and then touch a victim. It is funny to watch the victim jump when the victim is shocked.
In the Market circuit of total human activity we the people are like individual capacitors being charged up with food, air, and other forms of energy and power. An invalid on life support is a capacitor that can only release waste. Another capacitor may be energized in the process of feeding the invalid but that type of charge is not the subject of this current work. Another human being may be inspired to take away the waste produced by an invalid but again that is not the current subject. The invalid is a broken capacitor. The invalid has no choice. The invalid simply relies upon being fed and being cleaned up. The invalid does not control the flow of energy without the other capacitors helping keep the invalid alive. If no other capacitor decides to keep the invalid alive then the invalid is no longer a broken capacitor within the human action market circuit. The invalid dies and is removed from the circuit. Even if the invalid does somehow effect the remaining flow of energy, in memory, the invalid only does so as a result of actions performed by the remaining capacitors.
