Growing up in the San Fernando Valley and working in retail for over 15 years, designing jewelry was not what I pictured in my future.  But, in 2000 when I was pregnant with my first child I was looking for a way to be able to stay at home with him.  Through an introduction I was soon working for a top LA jewelry designer making and assisting in designing jewelry at home.  The jewelry I was making was being sold at top stores and boutiques through out the US and parts of Europe.  After 7 years it was time to go out on my own and in March of 2007 “Handmade by Lauren” was born. 

                Now with 2 boys and a supportive husband behind me I am working on designing my own jewelry and raising my family.  Never did I imagine that I would love designing jewelry as much as I do.  Seeing my creations grow from just an idea or sketch to an actual piece of jewelry that someone picks out and wears, brings me such joy. 

                My hope is that you will find the same joy wearing and enjoying my jewelry as I had in making it.  I also hope to be able to help other “work-at-home” moms be able to be there for their families and realize their dreams as I have been able to do.

                I am so thankful for my family and friends that I have.  Without them I know I would not be able to follow my dream.  So, to those of you who are a part of my life, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support and love.
