1983 E21 BMW 320i

The car would need repairs prior to road. Has not been registered or licensed for several years. I purchased 11/95.

Hood paint gloss coat badly bubbled & peeling. Some very small rust spots. It's not too pretty but extremely well maintained and NO leaks, gaskets done immediatley upon leak detection.

Solid mechanically, very fast and extreme handling & braking performance. Driven aggressively but well maintained. Compression TIGHT less than 5% degradation, valves adjusted once a year, very little ever needed. Uses less than 1/4 qt oil / 3000 miles.

FYI: These are great little cars but DO require attention & maintenance but I think its worth it. I would drive 70 mph all week for $12 in gas w/ AC on full. All highway miles 70 per day. ~ 28-30 MPG

Passenger side upper ball joint. *Entire front end (buschings, all linkage from rack & pinion out) was new 99/00 OEM, Not sure why upper bj went, no unusual tire wear ever, new tire rod ends 2001 w/ alignment.

Always steered straight & tight.
Tires are questionable, plenty of tread with air but dry cracking and have been sitting. Yokohama AVID T4
Air intake boots (I have new ones ready for install.)
Primary in-tank fuel pump weak, $25 Delco fix. Will start with cranking in AM, once pressured good for several hours.
Passenger door interior door handle linkage needs reset.

Center console needs attention/repair but OK.

Repairs/Parts completed
New OEM York Compressor R12, ~40 degree differential from ambient to vent. VERY COLD! ALL AC system parts, hoses, drier, evap, cond, blower fans & electrical switches/thermo coupler. (I rebuilt entire HVAC box)

New OEM complete distributer assembly & spark wires
New exhaust manifold with gasket/wire shield 2000, muffler, pipes & O2 sensor.

New intake manifold gaskets.
Transmission shift tower linkage/buschings, back up switch, Synthetic gear fluid.
Guibo, drive shaft, u-joints, CVs
Differential drained, opened/inspected, resealed, with fluid.
All front end (buschings, all linkage from rack & pinion out new 99/00 OEM.)

New rotors/drums & PBR metal master pads & shoes w/ DOT SS lines. (Additional used/good rotors/drums)

New wheel bearings/races with each rotor/drum replacment, used Mystic high-temp only

Entire new OEM park/emg brake cable assy.
Clutch slave cylinder
Entire new cooling system, hoses, pump, thermostat, radiator, auxiliary fan & electrical.

All vacuum hoses/lines & under hood rubber.
New carpet pad, carpet and seats re-upholstered to match. Replaced all interior vinyl panels.

Dash PVC Cover
New windshield & gaskets/seals.
Refurbished sun roof track/crank mechanism.
Rebuilt instrument cluster/gauges/ lamps, Emg lamp switch, turn signal, etc. Odometer unreliable. Have used instrument panels w/ gauges, speedo, tach, lamps, etc
Refurbished fuse box, relays,controllers, etc

Halogen Headlamps
New steering column bushings.
All new trim/grills, turn signal/tail lamp assemblies with rear lense assy modification (European fog) for secondary brake lamp illumination. (open/dead lense in US models) *Excellent to alert others you are braking!

Original grills/trim/lamp assy in boxes, oxidized but good.
Alarm system with starter kill.
Window tinting will need replacing, heat has deteriorated.

Rear window defroster does not work, requires new glass with elect traces.
$2000 Kenwood stereo AM/FM/Tape w/ two Kenwood amps, sub woofer, Infinity & Polk speakers, Monster wires, etc.
