History / Background

We showed our first cat, a Tonkinese, in 1998. Over the next three years, we showed a Bengal, Tonk and a very special household pet, Azriel. Through the different shows, we met Barbara and Richard Kish from Laki cattery who introduced us to the wonderful world of Burmese! Over the next couple of years our focus was strictly Burmese and we worked directly with Laki cattery acquiring breeding females and establishing our lines. Eventually, we stepped up and purchased a breeding male, BP, who went on to become an outstanding sire. In 2003, Vindouro branched out and established a traditional Bombay breeding program. The lines were imported from Germany and, ironically, have now come back in demand overseas.
