I was born in
Alhambra, CA and raised in West Covina. I have a younger brother and sister. I have lived in Glendora
for 27 years.
I have been married
a long time to a wonderful man. My husband is a chemist. We met at Cal Poly. I have two children: a son who lives in
Arizona and a daughter who lives in Altadena, CA. Both of my children graduated from college.
My son graduated from Arizona State University, and my daughter graduated from the University
of Denver.
I have three cats.
My husband is always bringing home kittens. I love dogs too, but my last dog past away several years ago.
I belong to a
book review group, and we read and discuss a book once a month. I’m also a member of a women’s bridge group, and
we play bridge once a month. On Friday nights, we often go to the movies and have dinner with good friends.
I enjoy traveling.
I especially like to cruise. I’ve been on six cruises: once to Alaska, three times to
the Caribbean, and twice to Mexico. One
of my favorite vacation spots is Hawaii. During the
school, it is fun to get away over the weekend to visit friends in San Diego, Santa
Barbara, and San Francisco.
I like to garden.
My backyard has many flowers. It seems that I am always planting, trimming, or weeding. Given the choice between an inside
chore and an outside chore, I always choose the outside job.
I don’t
spend a lot of time in the kitchen. My husband and I usually eat dinner at a restaurant. The joke in my family is that my
favorite thing to make for dinner is “reservations”. Our favorite place to eat is the Cheesecake Factory.
