Teaching History:

This is my 5th year at Sellers teaching third grade.  Prior to that, I taught at a Catholic school for two years teaching fifth grade and second grade respectively.

Azusa Pacific University, BA in Liberal Studies

Cal Poly Pomona, Multiple Subject Credential w/ CLAD

GUSD, GATE certified

Biography:

I was born in West Los Angeles, CA and raised in Covina.  I have a wonderful husband, Daniel, who makes me laugh and makes sure I don’t lose my sense of humor.  Together, we have a beautiful son, Jacob, whom we love and adore with every fiber of our being!!  We work opposite shifts so that one of us can always be with our son; therefore our weekends are sacred to us.

I enjoy spending time with friends and family (and with our family it seems as if there is ALWAYS something going on), eating lunch at the park (our Sunday outing), reading, and going to the movies, although I haven’t gone as much as I use to since my bundle of joy entered my life, so we rent them instead J

Class Expectations:

It is my hope that all students will develop a passion for learning and become active participants in that learning process.  I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions to help them explore and understand concepts, to take on a positive attitude toward school, and to develop a solid foundation, both academic and social, that will grant them a more successful future.  I feel that providing a positive and nurturing learning environment will encourage them to meet these goals.
