| Early morning ballooning |
|
|
| We fly early in the morning when winds are most calm and thermals are not present. |
Welcome to Serenity Balloon Team's website! It is important to
realize that our ballooning is strictly for fun, and not a business venture.
Serenity was manufactured in 1996 and stands as tall as a six-story building!
Our balloon carries a pilot and up to three crew persons at a time. Typical flights involve two or three "hops"
of about 30 minutes each, with crew person changeouts occuring after each "hop". Our goal is to safely fly
as many of our crew as is reasonable, considering the day's flying conditions.
Our Crew Chief is Claudia Silverman. She's truly the "boss" while we're out ballooning.
Recently Tung Tran participated in two of our flights,
one in Perris, and one in Ripon. The following links get you to see his photo albums.

We are excited that you are visiting our web site. Serenity Balloon Team provides unique adventures
in Hot Air Ballooning.
On this site you'll find information about our activities and our crew, along with important
information you will need if you plan to join us for a balloon outing. We hope you will find all of the information you are
looking for and decide to be a participant in our ballooning adventures.
We've been flying Serenity since early 1997. Our pilot, Clint Silverman, earned a
commercial pilot certificate in June of 1997, and currently has more than 300 hours as pilot in command. Although the
certificate rating is a commercial rating, we do not do, by choice, any commercial ballooning.
Our primary area for flying is in Perris, CA, however we also fly in Palm Springs, in Paso Robles, and, on occasion,
in Temecula. We have participated in a number of balloon events, including Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta
(six times), Sonoma County Hot Air Balloon Classic (six times), Big Skyfest/Magic City Balloon Rally in Billings, Montana
(four times), Laughlin Nevada Riverflight (twice), BalloonaPalooza in Las Vegas (twice), Color the Skies in Ripon, CA, once, and
the Great Forest Park Balloon Race in St. Louis, Missouri (once). We have also flown in Truckee, CA; Illinois;and Texas.

What's New: We've added links to several videos and links to view Tung Tran's photos from
both Perris and Ripon, where we flew in a charity fundraiser for Children's Hospital of Central California. We've also
added info regarding our planned Perris flights (in October and November), AND, our planned balloon wash and barbeque.
Come join in and help wash the balloon!

We've posted some of our videos on You Tube, and the links below will get you directly to those videos.
The first video is a composite of many landings on a rather windy morning. Enjoy by clicking
the link here.
The next is of a Splash-n-dash in the Rio Grande, filmed by an on-board camera in Albuquerque in 2001. Here is the link
The third is of a typical moderate wind Albuquerque landing. This was filmed in 2000.
