June 28, 2009 was another hot morning for flying, but we did get in several hops
and had several new flyers. Linda Neer's brother, Doug, joined us and we all got to celebrate his nth birthday!

March 29, 2009 was another cold morning for what turned out to be a great balloon
flight. We had nine new aeronauts get their first balloon flight this morning!

March 1, 2009 gave us not only a good balloon flight with lots of photographs, but
gave us our first Perris flight video.

Mid January, 2009, found us in Gstaad, Switzerland, flying with Buddy Bombard.
Here are a few photos, and some video, of what its like to fly in the Swiss Alps, in winter, in a hot air balloon.

December 21, 2008 was a morning of ballooning that occurred just a few days after
heavy rains fell over much of southern California. We had beautiful views of the snow covered mountains, but worked
hard not to land where it would be too muddy for the crew. In fact, our last landing took place in a residential cul-de-sac.

October 26, 2008 was the date for the Serenity Balloon Wash & Barbeque.
We actually started on Saturday, the 25th, with a small group of us washing the trailer, the tarp, and the basket. Then
on the 26th we had a large group at Helme Park, in Huntington Beach, where we washed the envelope. Then, back to the
house and a barbeque lunch. This is the way to keep the balloon bright and clean (and substantially increase its life).

October 5, 2008 was one of our shortest flights, if not the shortest
flight ever, for Serenity. Although we checked conditions aloft with a pieball just five minutes before launch, we were
still surprized by how quickly fog came in. After just five minutes of flight we were back on the ground and ready to
pack up for the day.
