"I'd like to thank the members of the Nobel Academy for the honor
they're bestowing on me by awarding the Nobel Prize for Literature for my body of work. I'm surprised and honored and I can
only say--"
<splash>
"Thanks for the bucket of ice-cold water. I'm firmly back
in the here and now."
After this brief Lionel Holt moment we now proceed with
our regular broadcast...
The participants of the writing workshop have all spent considerable time
agonizing over the perfect phrase to bring our favorite TLW characters to life. A great group of people with whom to discuss
writing your next great story. But before the discussion lies
a big chunk of homework.
Yes. Homework. Assigments.
Blame Ariadne and Monica for the extra work. They believe in being
well-prepared. ;-)
What's the task? It's quite simple. You just need to find your inner
J&G or Guy and write a scene for a TLW script.
Monica and Ariadne narrowed it down for us, so here's the exact
assignment as outlined by Monica:
What we'd like to do with the script is have everyone who has
time to participate make a contribution. It doesn't even have to be dialogue, although that would be preferred. Got
an idea for a little action that we can incorporate into the final product? Send it along, too. The scene and the format are set, please take a look at the linked pages.
Research never hurts, so we suggest you take another look
at 'Cave of Fear' (unless of course you already have it memorized), as our 'missing' scene will be dropped into that episode.
Those of us committed to putting the scene together will keep everyone else up to date with regular postings, and
invite your comments.
Just to get your creative
juices flowing, I've attached a possible opening for the scene. Feel free to add on.
Send your ideas to me with a cc to Ariadne/Mary.
The workshop assignment is a continuation of one of
the scenes suggested in the file 'Assignment 2'. The idea is to give everyone the opportunity to work on areas they'd like to improve. If you feel brave, send
us your work ahead of time, and we'll put it out to the group to give you a hand (helping and applauding).
If you don't have Monica's and Ariadne's email
addresses, then you're probably not yet on the list of participants. No problem, just send an email to SeekingSummerlee@yahoo.com and you will be added to our distribution list and can
send your material to the two organizers.
