Now we're getting into the real work stuff. You've got the theory
down, now let's get some homework assigments before Toronto.
Yes! Homework is ESSENTIAL! Repeat after me: I shall be well-prepared for my expedition. ;-)
Now that you're all rewatching Cave of Fear
to do your writing assignment, it's time to take a small break and think visually.
After much debate and hanging out at Best Buy, Media Play, Barnes
and Noble, Borders, WalMart, Amazon.com and music on aol, Julianne and I have made a decision on what song to use for the
video by The Toronto Experiment.
In keeping with the lost
theme and trying to find a song that has lyrics that would make everyone conjur up all sorts of The Lost World images, I have
taken one of the songs on my pile and donated it to the group.
So your task is to storyboard the song.
Julianne and I will each (separately) begin a video
... we will lay the song track and the titles (if we feel like it) and/or an introduction (if we feel like it) and we will
also lay clips that correspond to the first three lines of the song (if we feel like it).
That is where you all will take over. Your job is to story board the rest of the song -- now no peeking and no copying.
Everyone do your own work. Get as much done as you can and as your busy schedule allows.
When we get to the video-making portion of the session, we will split into two groups. Julianne will take one, and
I will take the other.
Julianne will show her group the beginning of the video and lay down one more clip before giving
up her seat to one of the participants who said they wanted to try using the software. And I will do the same with my group.
As of now, those scheduled to use the software are: Antea, Barbara, Julia and
Lindsay -- and possibly Mary (ariadne), who was listed as a maybe.
Once we split into groups, members will suggest scenes and build their video. Five minutes before we are scheduled
to be finished with the video portion of Saturday's program, Julianne will produce her group's video and I'll do the same
with mine.
Remember, this is to be Season 1 scenes ONLY.
No Season 2, No Season 3, No Pilot movie. Just scenes from Season 1... you can use scenes from any one of the 22 episodes.
If you want, you can list more than one scene you think is appropriate to the lyrics. Be as specific as possible when you
note down a scene... description of the scene and the episode is a bare minimum. Remember, we are going to have to locate
the clips in order to lay them into the video.
Here's
the song... have fun....
And remember, if
you don't have the time, even doing a few scenes would be helpful.
Turn, Turn, Turn
Music by the Byrds
To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn,
Turn, Turn)
And a time for every purpose under Heaven
THIS IS WHERE JULIANNE AND SANDY WILL STOP..... THE REST IS UP TO YOU!!!!
A time to be born
A time to die
A time to plant
A time to reap
A time
to kill
A time to heal
A time to laugh
A time to weep
To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn,
Turn, Turn)
And a time for every purpose under Heaven
A time to build up
A time to break down
A time to dance
A time to mourn
A time to cast away stones
A time to gather stones together
To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn,
Turn, Turn)
And a time for every purpose under Heaven
A time of love
A time of hate
A time of war
A time of peace
A
time you may embrace
A time to refrain from embracing
To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)
And a time for every purpose under Heaven
A time to gain
A time to lose
A time to rend
A time to sew
A time to
love
A time to hate
A time for peace
I swear it's not too late
