Eric and I are expected our third bundle
of joy and a new playmate for Audrey and Emma on September 1. Yup, it's just one. :) We decided to not know the
gender of the baby until his/her arrival. We believe we've picked out the name but that too is a secret. (Two
different things we're doing different this pregnancy to keep it exciting!) Below are some FYI's just to keep you updated.
Thanks for visiting.

PICTURES: Pictures of the baby.
Because I'm also seeing a high risk obstetrician, I get a whole bunch of ultrasounds. So this is courtesy of those appointments.
Sometimes they even do the 4D scans.

Sorry these are all I have. I'm not very good at taking pictures of my belly....so these are all I could find.

Pregnancy update: May 21 - I'm around
week 25 and the doctor didn't really like what she saw. It looks like the cervix went down to my cerclage. So
she told me to take it easy....feet up, no chores, etc. But I'm still working and trying my hardest not to do a lot
of walking. For now I'm on weekly checkups.
Pregnancy update: June 14 - (28 weeks)
It looks like my cervix situation is staying stable. Which is a good thing.....so I'm not on bed rest orders, thank
goodness. The doc says it looks like I definitely got an incompetent cervix. My checkups are at two week intervals.
As for the baby, it seems to be growing nicely...it's around 2.5 to 3 lbs about now.
Pregnancy update: July 3 (31 weeks) Baby is
still breech. Doc said there's still time for the baby to turn and if not by 35-36 weeks, we'll start talking about
possibly "turning" it. What else? My cervix measured at 2 cm at my last checkup. You can see on the ultrasound
how the cervix is "dynamic" - as the doc calls it. The doc described it like a "flag in the wind". Funny,
eh? Typically the doc said they like to see it about 2.5 to 3.5 cm, so I'm measuring a bit on the short side. The
doc said take it a bit more easier than I have (not) been doing and wants to see me back in one week. Around 34
weeks is when they tend to not be so concerned with the length of the cervix.
Pregnancy update. July 16, 2007 (33 weeks 2 days)
- Everythings look a-okay. I don't have a next appointment with my cerclage doctor until 3 weeks (which would be in
between my 36-37 week mark). If the baby is seen head down, then that's when they'll cut the cerclage. If not,
we'll start talking about possibly turning it. From the ultrasound, the baby's estimated weight is 4 lbs 12
oz and it looks like it has a lot of hair (the lady sonographer was saying like 1/2").
Pregnancy update. July 26, 2007 (34 weeks 5 days)
- Baby is still in breech position. Doc gave me some pointers to possibly help turn the baby. August 7 is when
they'll check again. If still breech then Aug 8 they will try to turn the baby and if successful will follow through
with the cerclage cutting ceremony on Aug 9. :) Else if not successful or I choose to not try and turn the baby they
would schedule a C-section maybe around 39 weeks and (most likely) not cut the cerclage. So really it's up to this baby
as far as what's gonna happen. I can't believe I'm hitting my last month....time seems to have gone by so fast.
It sure is going to add a new dimension to our family dynamics. :)
Pregnancy update. August 7, 2007 (36 weeks, 3 days)
- Even with the exercises recommended by my doc to help turn the baby...it didn't work. Looks like we'll be having a
version tomorrow - check in 7:15 am.
Pregnancy update, August 8, 2007 (36 weeks, 3 days)
- Version Day! Well, the doc tried twice to turn the baby. She stopped both times because the baby's heart
rate dropped. I asked the nurse what's a low heart rate and she said it's when it's below 90....when typically it's
should be around 140-150. Well, it definitely was an experience. The first thing the nurse asked me is "What has
the doctor told you?". Well anyways, she wanted to be honest with me and if the doctor didn't tell you, it will be a
painful procedure. And....yes it was! My eyes were closed the whole time just trying to relax. There
were tears and Eric was beside me the whole time holding my hand. Instead of screams of pain I found myself laughing
or actually saying "relax" during those times there was pressure and great discomfort/pain. At the end of this all,
the version was not successful. Now I just have to deal with a sore stomach. Oh well. So the cerclage cutting
ceremony isn't going to be taking place tomorrow.
Pregnancy Update (August 21-38 weeks, 2 days?) - Two
days before my C-section. Well, the last update I mentioned my version didn't work. As of my latest doctor's appointment
yesterday, the baby is still in breech position so we're still on for my August 23, 5pm C-section. I finally stopped
going into work this week so that I can do last minute preparations for the baby's arrival. So next time I write, there
just might be a new picture of the baby. :) Thanks for everyone's blessings, congrats and well wishes. It's amazing
I've gone this far. Thank you.

REGISTRIES: This is one of the fun
parts about having kids....signing up for a couple registries. Honestly, these lists were made just for fun. Some
are necessities...others (majority) are just neat and fun. Some people have asked about what we wanted and I guess this
was the easiest thing to do. It really is hard to make up a list because style, needs, wants keep changing. Thanks
for looking. (Oh, because we don't know the gender of the baby, picking styles and colors were random and definitely
could change once the baby is out and also don't obligate yourself to the specific store or product. I'm always good
for a bargain somewhere else.)
