Computer Hint for
( loading Free
Avast Antivirus )
** There is a small
charge if
you are not home user ***
Note:
The only time I ever got a virus
was when I used Norton as my
antivirus..
Virus makers have all the codings
for Norton Antivirus, and make their
spyware & virus so Norton don't see them.
I use Avast antivirus, it is free
& best I have found yet. I use
it on my 3 computers:
XP pro / Vista / Windows 2000 pro
& it works great on all.

Free avast! 4 Home Edition
You go to the site & on the web site
you will see two buttons. One says
Registration the other one says Download
You will
get E-Mail from them
with the key to make Avast work
after you register, be sure & save this.
When you download the Avast ,save it
to a folder that you name ( Avast Antivirus )
be sure & remove the antivirus you
have loaded,unless you paid for it & it
is still good one.
Unplug from internet before you remove
old antivirus.
( Reason is you can get virus from internet
if you don't have antivirus running, reason
for removing the antivirus you are using is
your computer can't have two antivirus running
because it will mess up your computer.)
#1..After you remove antivirus that is on your
computer do all of this before you load Avast antivirus.
( Disk Cleanup / Defrag / Scan disk / run
your spyware remover )
then reboot your computer.
#2..To load Avast go to the folder where you
saved your downloaded avast program. Double left
click on the Avast exe file & it will load, after it loads
you will see two blue balls in your system tray.
#3..Go to E-Mail you got with the key for avast
hightlite the key & right click & from the menu
left click on copy...
#4...Right click on the blue ball on the right in your
system
tray & from the menu left click on
(start avast
antivirus ) a box will open up with
a white slot to paste
the key in.
Put your pointer
in the white slot & then
right click &
from the menu left click on paste.
#5.. you will get a notice if you did this correct.

Ever have a window that has
wandered partially off the screen?
Not a big problem, unless
you
can't get to the title bar to move
it, right? For example, what do
you do if you have a window
that
has its title bar hidden
above the TOP of the screen?
(It happens, sometimes due
to a system error, sometimes
due to a change in screen resolution).
The problem is, you can't grab
the title bar with your mouse to
move
the window.
Don't worry, there's an easy way
to move the darn thing.
Here's how:
1.. Make
sure the window has focus
(i.e. it's the active window).
2..
Next, click Alt+Space and
then press the letter M.
3.. Now, use your arrow keys
to
move the window back to
where you want it.

"What's This?".
Click that box and you get a little description.

"Advanced" tab.
Go to any item in the list
(I chose "Enable Page Transitions"),
put your arrow over it and right-click.

Click it and your description should appear.
