CSA Type 3
Dust tight, rain tight and
sleet resistant - Outdoor
An enclosure for either indoor
or outdoor use, constructed
so as to provide a degree of
protection against rain, snow
and wind blown dust; undamaged
by the external formation
of ice on the enclosure.

UL 50 / UL 508 Type 3
Dust tight, rain tight and
sleet resistant - Outdoor
Outdoor use to provide a
degree of protection against
wind blown dust, rain and
sleet; undamaged by the formation

proof.

CSA Type 3R
Rainproof and sleet resistant
- Outdoor
An enclosure for either indoor
or outdoor use, constructed
so as to provide a degree of
protection against rain and
snow; undamaged by the
external formation of ice on
the enclosure.

UL 50 / UL 508 Type 3R

They are sleet resistant but

and hose directed water;
undamaged by the external
