Who Can Join?
Youth
We invite all young persons of good character who are
between 14-21 years of age, (must have completed the 8th grade) have in interest in the outdoors, public
service, technology and live in the general Yucaipa area to consider joining the crew. Contact any crew officer
or advisor to pick up an application.
Adults
Crew 800 has a number of positions for qualified adults to serve as advisors, committee members, subject specialists
and other support roles. All adults must meet the membership standards and obtain the approval of the Boy
Scouts of America and the Yucaipa Valley Amateur Radio Club.
Adults members are subject to a background check and are required upon acceptance to complete specific training
required to supervise youth members in their assigned position. At a minimum, all registered adults will complete BSA youth
protection training and incorporate it's principles into their personal conduct and crew activities.

Membership
Venturing Crew 800 is chartered
by the California Inland Empire Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Venturers are required to meet the standards to
become registered as members of BSA - Venturing Division and are eligible for all the benefits of being a member of the
BSA and the world scouting organization.
Membership shall be open to
all 14-21 years of age that live in the surrounding area and have completed the eighth grade.
No prospective member shall be disqualified because of race, color, creed, or sex.
