Holcomb Valley Family Camp
 
Members of Crew 800 assisted Crew 625 with staff assignments during the Old Baldy District's Family Camp held at Holcomb Valley Scout Reservation.  Venturers provided archery instruction, assisted with supervising horse back riding and shotgun shooting, pool lifeguard duty and first aid lodge coverage.

LA County Fair

Visitors were encouraged to build an electronic widget.

Crew 800 staffed booths at the Amateur Radio Expo during the LA County Fair.  Crew members provided information on amateur radio, Venturing and encourage youth visitors to build a morse code key and send their name in code.  Another crew staffed booth the opportunity for children to build an electronic widget using educational kit components.

Crew 800 Venturers assisted with the coordination of the scouts bearing American flags during the Yucaipa-Calimesa Patriot Day gathering.  The musical tribute to members and veterans of the US Armed Forces was preformed by the 40th Infantry Division Band of the California National Guard.
