JUNE 2006

You can tell Summer Had Arrived.  I raced a bunch and traveled even more.  NBL had a few "dive races" in June that kind of took away my motivation but it's stil there as much more is to follow.
June 29, 2006 -This aint good.  My 16 hour days are turning into 18 hour days but I did do some riding at Cutting Edge the past couple of evenings so at least it's a little "BMX" productive.  I did write the race review from the Arvada NBL Regional this past weekend.  I got a busy day today doing a bunch of running around plus I have to make some phone calls and stir up some rumors so I will be back another day for some more drama in my crazy world that nobody should care about!  -CW

June 27, 2006 -Well I started my week yesterday with only a couple hours sleep since my already late flight from Denver got in even later on Sunday.  I am still working on the review but I now that I have some time I will tell you that after racing on Sunday we did a light tourism and were trying to check out downtown and found ourselves dead in the middle of This!  It was kind of funny but maybe we should have hung out there cause it would have been better than almost 4 hours in the airport terminal.  Hopefully by tomorrow I can tell you all about it.  Ok I have to go for another 16 hour day.  -CW

June 25, 2006 -I am at the airport on my way home from Denver and I am sure it will be a couple days before I get time to write anything that matters so I thought I would update to tell you that out of the entire 13 moto national that NBL hosted in Arvada, Colorado this weekend I took 1st place for the weekend but it doesn't say much since i had no class.  I can say the trip itself was cool.  This week I should update with a review later in the week so stay tuned for the madness I have to tell you. Time to come home now that I just got searched by security again for 20 minutes! -CW

June 23, 2006 -I am on my way to the airport for a quick flight to Colorado for the NBL Regional.  I am traveling with my teammate Sam and we are making a quick trip out of it for some needed points this season.  We are coming back Sunday night after the race so I will not be doing Denver "laker style".  Being gone from my hometown this weekend is crap for once since the ABA State race is at my home track.  At this rate I don't even know if I will make enough state races to get qualified for the hay bail throwing tournament this year.  -CW

June 21, 2006 -Halfway through another week and nothing really new happening.  I somehow managed to write the NBL State Race Review from this past weekend in Taft, CA.  I am off to Colorado this weekend and the weather shows thunderstorms.  In CA NBL news there was a bunch of shuffling with their schedule cause for more than 2 years a track had empty promises and the CA State Championships will be in Reedley again this year.  It's cool with me I went away with perfects last year at championships so maybe I can keep that luck going.  -CW

June 19, 2006 -Back from Taft.  The weekend was a state race and actually was bigger than the past 2 regionals I have been at so someone has problems.  I got 1st both days and ran away with my perfect.  I am already back to work since I have to make it a quick week cause I fly out later this week for the NBL Regional in Colorado where Rudy Project Eyewear calls home so I will be sure to visit my sponsor of 9 plus years this coming weekend.  I know I didn't update this weekend so I will have to write a review and get it posted soon so check back later in the week for the scoop -CW

June 16, 2006 - A little bit later today I will be off to Taft for the NBL State race at Monster BMX.  We were just there not to many months ago and hopefully things are a little smoother and less windy than the first trip and it will be all good.  I didn't have much of a class a couple weeks ago at the state race so maybe this time I can race my class and quit messing around with the 30 some things.  On another note I never did update my schedule page with the summer tour yet, so if you want to check out where else I will be in the coming months not that it matters but you can check the

June 14, 2006 -It's already the middle of the week and I have been doing my usual "play" this week.  Of course that consist of waking up at 4AM working at a real job while answering my cell phone all day from my play job while I also working on my play business just to leave all that at 5 and head to the track for some more play.  Then I truck it home after racing in the evening and do some training and hit bed at 11PM to get up and do it all again.  At least thats how it looks like Mon-Wed will be going most of the summer.  Tomorrow I have to pack cause on Friday I am going to an NBL State Race -CW

June 12, 2006 -So my weekend?  Nate and I hooked up Saturday morning and rode the NBL track and hung out all day and drove through egypt to get to Lancaster to race the new ABA Track there.  It was windy as hell but we raced and Nate had a rookie expert gunning for the big local win and got up on the high side and wrecked while I was sitting 3rd behind all of this in the first turn.  We then spent the evening until 2AM in the ER getting his ankle checked only to wake up yesterday morning and ride Orange Y on burnout when you need first straight pull.  I took 6th and got home late last night after taking Nate back home cause he cant drive in his mini cast!  -CW

June 10, 2006 -It's off to the So Cal NBL Track this morning and then across the desert to the new ABA track in Lancaster.  I think I am relaxing most of the weekend riding with all my team mate buddies.  Nate might be coming up today to ride and hang out at my house but I am not sure he wants to as it's all out war around my pad.  Not that I don't love people close to me but it's some real life Jerry Springer chair throwing around here this past week.  Alright it's off to the track for me.  Tomorrow I will be hating life getting bad first straights at Orange Y for the redline cup!  -CW

June 9, 2006 -It's the weekend and time for a bunch of races again.  This weekend should be a bunch of fun little stuff that will not be so little in comparision to last weeks supposed to be bigger race.  I got my flight for the Grands that are for sure in Kentucky.  I better get moving cause I have a ton of stuff to accomplish today.  It's to busy to spread rumors so check back another day cause someday soon I just might flip my lid and you might be the lucky one that it happens too.  -CW

June 7, 2006 -As usual it took me longer than I thought to whip up some scoop on this past  weekends NBL State race that went down in Lucerne Valley.  You can read the X-Roads State Review Here.  Last night I rode at Cutting Edge and I felt so burned out.  Hopefully I get some better rest as the week continues.  If not I will be riding like poo by this weekends race in Lancaster and Orange Y for the Redline Cup this Sunday.  -CW

June 5, 2006 -It's back to the grind after a busy weekend of racing.  I did hit up two races on Friday evening somehow pulling off a pre race and heading to the local aba track night.  Then picked it back up with the NBL state race Saturday morning.  I was supposed to hit the Grand Opening of th Lancaster ABA track Saturday evening but I just had to much on my plate, literally at the buffet.  But I should have been there and sure will this coming Saturday.  Sunday went down with the NBL State and a race for life at O-Show.  I will do a review of the weekend shortly after gather some facts on a scandal!  -CW

June 2, 2006 -Well this weekend is snowballing quickly.  If I dont bonk the plan is to race the NBL Pre race tonight, then hit the ABA track for their local night race and then race the state race Saturday morning and hit the Grand Opening of the Lancaster track in the evening followed up by day 2 of the state qualifier for NBL and then the ABA race for life at O-Show on Sunday evening.  It's all in a weekend of riding.  I am not doing to much saving myself but I do have fun riding.  I told you I had a summer schedule starting up!  -CW

June 1, 2006 -It's a busy few months ahead and I need to update the schedule page to show the Eliminator Summer Tour.  My sponsors and team have a ton of stops the next 3 months and it's going to keep me busy.  Today I am at an elementary school showing kids whats up with BMX and then I will be getting ready for the NBL State Race this weekend at the So Cal Track in Lucerne Valley.  With all the racing planned do I need a new bike for the summer?  Only time will tell... -CW
