Sewer
Problems
Responsibilities:
Your home is connected to the
public sanitary sewer via underground pipe called a lateral. Some homes
have a grinder pump to push sewage into the sewer.
Maintenance and repair of
grinder pump and lateral up to the property line are the responsibility of
the homeowner.
The Sewer Authority is
responsible for the public sewer outside of your property.
To report a
public sewer problem:
When you observe or suspect a
problem in the public sewer call the Sewer Authority office at 610-388-6368
ext.102. Outside of normal office hours call 610-500-1592.
We shall dispatch a contractor
to diagnose the problem and to repair it if the cause of the reported
problem is in the public sewer.
If the cause of the reported
problem is found in the lateral or the grinder pump on your property, the
cost of the initial diagnosis will be charged to you.

Grinder Pumps
- If you live in near the intersection of Ridge
Road and Heyburn Road you may have the E/ONE
grinder pump. Call Site Specific

- Several residential properties connected to the
Turner’s Mill waste water treatment plant are equipped with a Hydromatic
grinder pump. If you own one of these call M&S
Service CO at 610-933-5501.
