Our program is a two year program where girls will learn more in depth about being a girl scout, participating in service projects, becoming more responsible, making her own decisions, and going camping along with many other adventures. Because it is only a two year program, we may be on a bit more accelerated course than most other troops. We plan on fullfilling at least twenty-five try-its in our first year by attending neighborhood and council events, hosting troop try-it events, taking several field trips and going on camping and overnight trips like Knott's Berry Farm and Sea World. We are excited about helping and watching these girls "grow up healthy, strong and more independent" this year!

 

We pride ourselves on being a "green" troop. We reuse the same cups, plates, bowls and utensils at our meetings. The girls each take turns washing them at the end of every meeting. Many of our girls earned an "Earth Girl" Award this past year. They had to participate in at least 3 activities to help save the planet. Many recycled cans and bottles, planted flowers and picked up trash at parks and beaches. Some also participated in a tree planting service project with an older girl troop. Our girls are very proud of their duties and accomplishments.

 

Our troop leaders, Tiffany and Nicole, will both be beginning their first year as Brownie Girl Scout Leaders. Mrs. Tiffany has fullfilled two years as a Daisy Girl Scout Leader and has had one year of Girl Scouting as a girl. Mrs. Nicole has been a Daisy Girl Scout Leader, Cadette Co-leader and has had three years of Girl Scouting as a girl. We are happy to have Mrs. Angie and Mrs. Yami join our leadership team as our assistant leaders to help us out on outings and events.
