The Edenton District Loose Estates Papers

   Done in three (3) volumes. These abstracts cover estates proceedings which were appealed to the district court for the counties of Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Gates, Hertford, Martin, Pasquotank, Perquimans, and Tyrrell. One estate dates to 1735; the majority occur before 1790.

The New Bern District Loose Estates Papers

   How about a collection of loose estates papers from the counties of Beaufort, Carteret, Craven, Greene, Hyde, Jones, Lenoir, Onslow, Pitt, and Wayne, including the extinct counties of Dobbs and Glasgow? Remember, too, that Greene and Jones counties are burned counties. 356 estates are noted in this volume: They vary from minimal to extensive information on the family involved. They all involved litigation sent from the county court to the district court.
