The Silent Watcher

I am the Silent Watcher
Looking out for you
When you are awake
Watching out for you
When you are asleep,
There for you in the day
There for you in the dark.

I am the Silent Watcher
Looking out for you
There for you always
There when you most need me.

Few the people who know
That I am always there for them
In the rain and in the storm
In the fire and in the wind.

It is not for me to judge
Or condemn what you think
Say, or do. Nothing
You do is good. Nothing
You do is evil. I am simply
There to watch over you.

But one day, in the twilight
Between sleep and wakefulness --
One day, while on your way
Running an errand,
In the crowded marketplace
Or in a room alone, in the air
Or on the land, one day ---
You will see me and know
I have always been with you.

I am the breath you breathe
I am the eyes behind your eyes that see,
The voice behind the sound you utter.
I am the light behind
The veil of your shadow.
I am.

I am the Silent Watcher
Looking out for you
When you are awake
Looking out for you
When you are asleep,
There for you in the day
There for you in the dark.
