Pool Terrace The Brass Lantern, located in lush rolling countryside, is the only B&B in Iowa featuring a separate guest house complete with a 40-foot heated indoor pool for year-round pleasure and relaxation. The large, well-appointed terrace overlooks the heated pool and provides a dining and entertainment area with comfortable wicker furniture, color TV, VCR, and stereo CD player. The adjoining, fully-furnished kitchenette includes a beverage-stocked refrigerator and filled cookie jar. Air-conditioned guest rooms opening onto the pool terrace are tastefully furnished with your comfort in mind, including queen beds with luxury linens, sitting areas with sofa and easy chairs, telephone, color TV, HBO, VCR and stereo, and a private bath with luxury toiletries and linens. Desert Room At the end of the terrace, to the left of the kitchenette, the Desert Room features a fireplace and queen size four-poster bed. It also has a queen size sofa bed for two additional guests. The Desert Room has direct access to the kitchenette and its own private bath with shower and bubble tub. Garden Room The Garden Room is to the right of the kitchenette. It features a fireplace and queen size canopy bed plus a queen size sofa bed. The remodeled private bathroom includes a tub with a multi-head shower. Like the Desert Room, the Garden Room has direct access to the shared kitchenette. The Gallery (not pictured) is nearest the entrance, to the right of the Garden Room. It has two twin beds. It is available at a reduced rate and must be rented along with at least one of the other rooms, because it does not have a separate bath. 1918 Farmhouse Next door on the acreage, the antique-filled 1918 Craftsman farm home provides a pleasant library for browsing, a large and comfortable gathering room, and an elegant formal dining room where guests staying at the Brass Lantern Bed & Breakfast Inn are served a gourmet breakfast featuring house specialties, including freshly ground and brewed Green MountainTM coffee. (Breakfast may be served poolside upon request.)

Brass Lantern Innkeepers Terry and Margie Moore were named Innkeepers of the Year for 2001 and received the Star Award at the Iowa Hospitality Association's Annual Meeting. Terry and Margie received the Iowa Bed and Breakfast Guild Award for "Outstanding Services" in 1999, the same year Best Fares Magazine selected The Brass Lantern as "One of America's 50 Favorite Overnite Stays".
