This site features Bible studies, commentaries and articles in eBook
format by published author Rev. Patricia J. David, an ordained minister in The Wesleyan Church for
over 20 years and current dean of the College of Biblical Studies and Theology of Georgetown Wesleyan University of the Americas.
Why eBooks? I am a book person. I love
the smell of books, the feel of the paper, the binding. My office is full of books that have overflowed to the church library,
to Sunday School classrooms and to my home. My motto has always been if a book is worth reading, it's worth buying. But in
this day and age, paper books are not always the most convenient. They are expensive to buy and to have shipped. They take
up a lot of room (especially if you're like me and can't part with one). Unlike paper books, eBooks can be downloaded to your
computer by the hundreds, even thousands, without taking up any room. They can be accessed at the click of a mouse. They never
wear out. You can print pages if you want to, but you don't have to. If you have a notebook computer, you can take a virtual
library with you anywhere you go. And there are no shipping charges. You don't have to wait a week or longer to receive your
book. In most cases, retrieval is instant.
Why my eBooks? Of all the eBooks available
online, why should you buy mine? First, I am a published author, so you can be assured that I know how to communicate through
writing. To be perfectly honest, a lot of eBooks you can purchase out there are simply junk. They are poorly thought out,
they are filled with typographical and grammatical errors. Many times they are also plagued with poor content. Who wants to
pay for that? I have always made it my goal to strive for excellence. I am a logical thinker. I am firmly rooted in the Bible
(I have a Master's Degree in Biblical Studies). I care about providing a quality product. If you're not happy with something
you've bought, I'll make things right for you.
My Bible studies and articles are from a Wesleyan-Arminian
theological background, which I believe is most consistent with Scripture. Most of what you find in Christian bookstores
and the Internet these days comes from a Calvinistic viewpoint. If you're tired of hearing that "We all sin every
day in word, thought and deed" and believe Christians can actually live victorious lives, then you need to read material
from an Arminian perspective. You will be pleasantly surprised and inspired by what you read from this site. And you'll find
yourself growing in ways you never before thought possible.
