Urban Dance Company is dedicated to bringing together those individuals who are passionate about partnership dancing. The creators, Karl and Laura are dancers, instructors and competitors whose goal it is to promote couple dancing in the Seattle, WA area. We hope you enjoy our site and visit it often. Happy Dancing! Whether you are looking for a group class, private lesson, a party, want to have us teach your company how to dance, or are looking for a dance performance for your event, you've reached the right place!

We believe ballroom dancing has the power to transform people's lives: it is great exercise, lots of fun, builds self-confidence and physical coordination, and provides a comfortable environment in which to make new friends. Our advice to beginners is to take a combined approach to learning: start with the basics and learn some figures in a cost-effective group class (see below), then get a one-on-one tune-up with private lessons, and practice and enjoy what you have learned at one of our many dance parties.
