Amanda Abbott - VT Veterinary
Operations Supervisor
Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Amanda has always had a love for
animals. She started working with animals by volunteering at a small two doctor practice in Kentucky, and then worked her
way up as she gained experience. Eventually Amanda found herself helping the doctors with everything from assisting during
surgeries to housecalls. After attending the University of Louisville she moved down to Florida in 1999, and joined the Amazon
Animal Hospital team in 2003.
"I love working here, the clients are wonderful! Knowing that
a job I love so much makes such a big difference to people makes it very rewarding."
Amanda is married to her husband Marshall, has two daughters,
"Athena" who is 3, and "Sammi" who is 1, and also has a female cat named "Princess Boots".
Her girls love animals just as much as she does and her eldest daughter Athena already talks about helping animals when
she grows up, just like her mom.
