I have known MJ for several years.
She is my client and a true friend. MJ is the kind of gal that sticks next to you through thick and
thin. Good times, bad, happy, moody (and I can get moody).
She will stop traffic to help a turtle in the road.
MJ has the kind of personality that is outgoing and very inviting. She brings a smile to every situation
and always keeps a positive outlook on life!
She is an educator and would go out of her way to be sure a student had a ride to school so they
could graduate. I've seen her do so many things for people she makes me feel lazy!
MJ came to our club and donated her time to make hats for the kids living with cancer.
She was downsized from her job (like many people in America have been) and was out of work for
a whole year.
When she finally got the job of her dreams, (well, close enough to her dreams) a month later, she
was getting ready for work and the one side of her body decided to have a competition with her brain. She thought she was
having a stroke.
Rushed to the hospital and x-rays and scans later, determined she had a brain tumour and stage 4
cancer in her lungs.
She is in recovery now. She is living through cancer.
MJ is a Chicago Irish girl with a will to get anything done.
MJ is my friend and someone who was always there for me in my personal life and with the hats for
the kids.
Now, we are making hats for her. She is a fighter and nothing will slow her down!!
Next year, when her hair grows back, I'm gonna make her a red head,,she has the spunk of a red head!!!
She wanted the world to see her photos to know it truly can happen to you.
Her joke before this happened was "Gotta die from something".
She told me, Īt is not a joke anymore, please tell everyone that".
She also said. "You don't realize how short life is until something like this hits you,,don't sweat
the little stuff Chris, it doesn't matter,,, life is way too short."
Pray for what we have, not what we don't. Always remember your true friends, because they will be
there when you need them.
And as I can give a testimony myself,,,you never know when strangers come out of no where
and give you a hand, it happened to me, God works in mysterious ways.
