ISLAND, ADDRESSING THE WORLD'S PRESS. HIS MESSAGE WAS THAT THE PANDEMIC OF HIV/AIDS IN AFRICA WAS IN FACT, A GENOCIDE. SINCE
THAT TIME I RESOLVED TO DO AS MUCH AS I CAN TO BRING ATTENTION TO THE HIV/AIDS CRISIS.

I love children. They are the future of this world. As adults, we have to protect, defend
and feed them. We, have to set examples for them to see how good this world truly is!
Remember, children learn from
what they observe and are taught. We, as adults have an obligation to teach the children how to love each other and know there
are people in this world who truly care for them.I want every child to have that opportunity. Sometimes, a child doesn't
get to grow up. Sometimes, they never even get to see the first grade.Some children never get to play their first baseball game
or get past their training wheels on a bicycle.
But the little time that God has allowed them to spend on this planet is up to us to show
them true love, kindness, hope, diversity and compassion.
After my nephew was born, I was holding him in the hospital
and saw a program on television about the children living through cancer. It touched my heart.
I reached inside myself, put my talent to use and called upon my resources and started
a sewing club to make hats for the children inflicted with cancer. It is my way from my heart to be able to give a sick child
something they can hold and call their own, and, for a heart breaking moment, turn their fear and sickness from sadness into
a happy smile.
Today, so many people do not realize how lucky they are to have a roof over their heads, food on the
table and a new car to drive. I know what it feels like to lose everything to your name, but always remembering those who
helped; friends, family, strangers, all there to give a hand...One shall never forget where they have been, are at and
where one is going in life.
I always try to set an example of hard work, determination and giving from the heart to the
true in need.
Sometimes a parent sacrifices everything they have and own to try and save
their child. But they lose the battle. God truly does have the path paved. What we do with the time he has given us will determine
our destiny.
These children and parents need our help. Please dig into your heart and if you have an arm
and a leg, reach out to them and let them know you can help. The path you can follow are examples
you can set to help others.
My family always taught me it is what you do that takes manual
labor to help motivate others. Start a project in your community to help. No matter what it is....."Pay It Forward".
