New at CKenMARK's Attic are Manzanita Branch and root flutes. Made from Local Southern California Manzanita. All Manzanita used if obtained by permit from the forestry department and only gathered from dead and downed branches. No Manzanita shrubs or trees are damaged or cut to obtain the woods for these flutes.

All cracks and natural voids in the woods are sealed and when applicable inlayed with turquoise or pink coral. Each is finely tuned and very well voiced and most will play the 2 notes above the octave to give a full Diatonic (Do Re Mi) scale.

Manzanita Branch/root flutes

No two flute are alike.

Due to variance and availability of Manzanita stock these flutes come in a variety of key's dependant on the size of the bracnh or root and range in price starting at $120.00. They are much more difficult and time consuming than traditional lumber flute. Each flute has had great care taken to assure that any cracks or natural voids are filled or sealed to help prevent splitting or cracking. If a flute does by chance split or crack I will repair it at no charge other than normal shipping costs.
