this option we would NOT have been able to have bought our wonderful house... we needed an FHA not a conventional loan, everything
in our price range needed "a little work" (or a lot of work!) to meet the FHA requirements, and the 203K was the perfect answer
for us! We got a lot more space than we ever expected, for a great price, and we really feel like we were able to take
advantage of the market conditions at the perfect timing for us.
In terms of the process, having a general
contractor as our sole contact point for the plumber, the electrician, the masonry guy who fixed the place where the
previous residents backed their truck into the brick wall of the garage, made it that much easier... plus having all of the
work that's been done inspected by Shelby gave us a buffer as well. I know that there was someone else watching out
for our best interests and approving the quality of the work so I was very at-ease with the whole situation.
I'm definitely excited enough about the
process to tell family and friends "do this, you really can get a great deal on a house and have it be YOUR house, your way,
your colors and your tile, when you move in!!!"”
