Available in pointed or round spoke the 14" wheels came in 6" or 7" wide.

Both measurements come from brake drum mounting surface.
Back side of a 14 x 7 pointed spoke ( below) shows a rib in center of spoke.
The 14 " round spoke did not have this rib
By the way American did not even paint their wheel in the 60's nor did they full polish them.

. The 15 x 6 & 7" wheels have the same front space but the back side differs.
. The front polished lip on 14 x 6... & 15 x 6 & 15 x 7" wheels all look the same as far as the angles
go.
. The 14 x 7 & 15 x 8.5 have the same polished lips. When ran together they really look sharp as they have depth.
. The 15 x 6 Torque Thrust says " Aluminum Sport Wheel " The other four say Torque Thrust.
. There are only the 5 sizes / back space. There are no variations.
. In 1968 American made some machine changes to the center hub to allow for disc brake clearence.
** I often modify early wheels for disc brake cars.
