Hospital Policies and Fees

Appointments

For your convenience, we recommend that you call for an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome, but must be worked in between scheduled appointments and surgeries. Need to make an appointment? You can e-mail your request online or call (940)566-5595.

New Clients

Please arrive a few minutes early for your first appointment to fill out medical records. Or, you may print and fill out the New Client Welcome Form ahead of time and bring it with you. Be sure to bring any previous medical records you may have. If you do not have this information, contact your previous veterinary hospital and have them fax your pet’s medical records to us at (940)382-0093. If you are unable to do this prior to your visit, we will be glad to assist you.

Restraints

Please keep your pet on a leash, in your arms or in a carrier while in the reception area of the hospital. Our parking lot is often very busy and we are located on a busy street. If your pet becomes loose and escapes through an open door, the consequences can be heart-breaking. Also, animals in the clinic are often hurt and scared and may react aggressively out of fear or pain, provoking a fight. The safety and well-being of your pet is our top priority.

Young puppies and unvaccinated dogs should be kept in a carrier or in your arms while in the clinic to help reduce exposure to pathogens for which they have not been vaccinated.

In-Patient Admissions and Discharge

For scheduled surgeries, dentistry and in-patient medical treatments, please bring your pet in between 7:45 and 8:30 a.m. Your pet should have no food after 9:00 p.m. the night before surgery. Day surgery and treatment patients can be picked up between 4:30 and 5:15 p.m. For the protection of all animals in the hospital, we require that vaccinations be current. All in-patients are also checked for external parasites. If fleas or ticks are found, they will be treated at the expense of the owner.

In-Patient Visiting Hours

Regularly scheduled visitations are encouraged for some patients and are helpful in the healing process. Please discuss your pet’s visitation schedule with your pet’s nurse.

Fees/Deposits

An estimate of charges is happily given upon request. A deposit may be required on hospitalized pets. Payment is required in full when services are received. We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and personal checks with proper identification.
