Specialists
- I have seen a lot of doctors over the years. There are a few that I find myself recommending
to others -- friends and total strangers -- over and over because I am so happy with what they have done for me.
Here are some of the ones with websites:
- The Official Daniel J. Wallace, M.D. website Dr. Wallace first diagnosed my lupus, after it had eluded several
other specialists. He is also one of the leading figures in lupus research today.
- Edward H. Phillips Dr. Phillips did my bariatric surgery. He is a leader
in the development of laproscopic surgical techniques, and was the only bariatric surgeon I could find who would take me as
a patient despite my lupus.
- David Charles Rish Dr. Rish (who works with Dr. Arnold Klein, whose website it is) is one of the doctors pioneering the use of Botox in treating migraines. While Botox has not
been specifically approved by the FDA for treatment of migraines, Medicare will sometimes cover it.
- Stuart R. Winthrop For most of my life, my vision was so bad that my focal point was about at the end of my nose. Dr.
Winthrop performed LASIK surgery that gave me normal sight for the first time in my life, and not a day goes by that I am
not grateful for it.
