My grandfather loved sports.  He was a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates.  He also loved doing crosswords.  So, I decided to try to create a baseball themed puzzle for him.

 

Back in the 1970's, there were no computers.  So, I used graph paper and made the puzzle grid by hand.  After several weeks, I had created my first puzzle.  My grandfather encouraged me and I am still at it.

 

I have been fortunate to have my puzzles published in Games Magazine and various newspapers across the USA.
